How long for results of swab.

I had a swab taken on Monday for possible thrush, really suffering at the moment but the results of the swab are not back yet and thrush medication is not helping. Any idea when I am likely to get the results?

They should be back, perhaps the result just hasn't been reported on by the GP (the results sit in a queue waiting for the clinician to check them and then sign off as okay or needing action). Most swab tests take 2-3 days to come back where I work.
Have you used the cream/pessary or tablet?

I saw the GP on Friday would advised they were not back yet. Used cream pessary and tablet. Including a longer course of the tablet, on Friday they gave me a steriod cream but nothing is helping. It is getting worse.

Should be back Monday then. I hope you get it sorted soon. Try keeping your cream in the fridge, it will be more soothing.
