I have endometriosis can’t take hormones due to migraines and then the ones I can take I can’t due to TTC. I’ve seen 3 private doctors regular doctors appointments gynaecologist and the local endometriosis clinic. I’ve had 2 surgeries tried numerous hormones pelvic. Floor therapy massage therapy homeopathic nothing has helped. Im now on morphine codine and tons of other medication the meds help take the edge off the still in pain i ended up admitted to a and e twice this weekend given morphine drip. Was told to keep taking my meds from the start of my period to the end regularly like I do but nothing else they can do. The next step is a hysterectomy which may help but not a guaranteed cure but I won’t consider it until I’ve TTC for 2 years atleast. I know there is going to be no magic cure but I can’t keep on just taking pain killers for the rest of my life. It’s also ruining my life.

Oh poor you! I went through this for many years, finally managing to get a hysterectomy just before the first lock down. I am lucky in that I've had 2 children already, but like you, I was in so much pain. Like you I had regular visits to A& E. I told to used high dose Nurofen and paracemtol a week before and after each period until I was diagnosed with gastroenteritis, which means I can no longer use anything containing Nurofen. Yrs of using high dose pain killers was wrecking havoc on my stomach.

I don't have any advice I can give re: TTC but as soon as you've had dc, get a hysterectomy done, I only wish I had had it sooner. It's the best thing ever, I'm living a life that I could only dream of now, but the trauma of the horrendous endo remains.
