I usually get distinct Ovulation pain. It's very uncomfortable and quite painful for a few hours, I often compare it to early labour. I thought this was starting yesterday but it was EXTREME and I could barely walk, and it has also not really gone away. It started as my ovulation pain does, cramps across my womb and pain in my back passage, feeling very bloated and uncomfortable, but as I say, a way more exaggerated version, and although it's slightly subsided, my whole stomach is extremely tender, up to my ribs and I've definitely been peeing more/urgently. I dont have any burning sensation but it does hurt when i wee and poo. Though the (shooting) pain with pooing/back passage is common for me when on period or ovulating, and in labour.
Starting to wonder if this could be a UTI or a bladder infection? I did have some back pain too.. but wondered if that was from hunching over the whole day in pain!
I've got a telephone appointment with GP this eve.. and did a urine sample for them which I dropped off.
Does this sound like it could be a UTI? Or has anyone experienced way worse ovulation pain since having covid, as many have with period pains?
Some history:
Ovulation pain has been going on for about 4/5 years, my only child is 8. Didnt have it or notice it before.
I've been tracking my cycles for years and years and know them well, especially as we had been trying for another baby until last year when I had a MC. Cycles after MC settled down quite quickly back to my usual 26/27 days.
Got Covid in March, and since then things have felt different, more painful period pains, and I also had an unusually long cycle - 36 days, which only ended last week so I was surprised to be Ovulating so soon but put it down to things being messed up from Covid.
