Sore throat for weeks after giving oral...any ideas?

After giving a new partner oral a week after I had a burning sensation in my lips. I panicked and immediately thought Herpes but 3 weeks have passed and no coldsore in sight.

My throat however has been sore (nothing too bad) and feels dry and I have a mild burning sensation now and again in my lips and on my tongue. The doctors swapped for thrush and oral herpes but both negative. I'm stumped 😩

That does sound odd, did they test for herpes strains (hsv1 is mainly oral but can be genital and hsv 2 is mainly genital but can be oral). Though I would think the test would show which it is. Could you ask for a full sti swab?
