Mystery vagina problems after new partner (I need answers)

Countrymumma91 · 16/05/2022 10:03

I slept with a guy and the morning after had lots of discharge. Over the next week my vagina because quite sore. I’ve had mild itching but no sores. The doctors have done swaps and I’ve tested negative thrush/yeast infection and for the usual STIs and Herpes. I’m going to ask for a blood test but has anyone experienced this?

I'm stumped and I'm getting so stressed

Allergy to hygiene products he uses?

standoctor · 16/05/2022 10:14

Go back to your doctor rather than asking for advice on here?

This. My partner was using shower gel
And I had horrendous symptoms. Ask him to use un perfumed products.

A fab excuse for what?

Lighthearted excuse for - not tonight dear - your penis looks hideous!!

Bunnyfuller · 16/05/2022 12:35

Condoms would save you worry on a number of fronts here.

orchidsunrise · 16/05/2022 12:38

I would personally treat myself for thrush with an oral tablet just in case. And then go back to doc if no better

I know it sounds mad but I swear I’ve been allergic to the sperm of some men?! As in with some I get the soreness/itching after 😷 but with most it’s been totally fine! Not STD related, been fully tested

RebeccaCloud9 · 16/05/2022 12:40

BV? Not an STI but can be triggered by sex.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 16/05/2022 12:40

Didododo · 16/05/2022 12:40

I bet he uses original source mint shower gel!

mubarak86 · 16/05/2022 12:40

@Organictangerine there was a woman in Take a Break who was allergic to her husband's sperm, so it must be a thing 😁

Me too. It takes a while for my body to settle being with someone new.

Haha really! Luckily I didn’t marry one of my allergy-sperm-producers!

I would say bv as well, try some balance active bv pessarys. They sell them in chemists or supermarkets.
