Yesterday I had laparoscopy to remove a cyst because my partner and are trying for a baby.
It turns out it was the tube causing the problem. So removed it.
I remember waking up in recovery feeling a little out of it. Then back on the ward and I was pretty much not too bad after 2 weeeks. My partner came and took me home in a cab.
Today I feel bloated but haven't opened my bowels since Sunday just very windy. Drinking a lot fluids and eating to make me go.
I am actually feel a bit sore from cuts and finding it hard a little to get in and out of bed.
Can you share your experiences please. If anyone felt not bad at all after.

I have endo so the lap was for diagnosis plus laser treatment and dye flushed through my tubes. I was initially signed off for a week, needed two. I felt like I had been in a car crash. Sore in the pelvic region plus trapped wind in my shoulder blades from all the gas they use to allow them visibility.

You should be resting, they have moved all your insides around don't underestimate what that feels like or how long it takes to recover. You have also had a tube removed so there will be healing to do internally. Be kind to yourself, rest up for a few days.

They pump you full of air through the laparoscope so it's normal to be bloated for a few days. Also the anaesthesia constipates.

Yes I felt very similar to you, very sore and a bit like I had after my c-section. I was bloated and very uncomfortable. It does get easier though but don’t expect to feel back to normal for a few weeks. I returned to my physical job at 4 weeks post op but felt like I maybe should have had a bit longer due to the nature of my work.

I have got 2 weeks holiday off from work. I work in retail and wondering if it's best to take another week.
I know there's no way of knowing how I will feel. But because of being on the till and bending a lot.
I know I got to rest up.
