WEIRD GREY BLOOD CLOT

Hi there,
I am 8 weeks post partum and I’ve been on my “period” I believe for 2 weeks the doctor put me on tranxamic acid to slow it down which has helped a little bit but I’ve been having little blood clots today I passed something like this and I’m really worried about what it is as I’ve never had anything like this before!
Has anyone had this or know what it could be 😖

I’d guess maybe retained placenta or other products. Did you have any investigations like a scan re your bleeding if it was bad enough to need medication to slow it? It sounds like your bleeding could be related to retained products.
id be tempted to call triage at the hospital where you delivered for advice. Are you still bleeding?

I stopped pp bleeding 2 and a half weeks after I gave birth, then I got my “period” two weeks ago. I spoke to my doctor and they said they wasn’t concerned as I haven’t had any pain etc, just heavy bleeding which I was changing my pad every hour! Yes I am still bleeding, It has slowed down a lot now with the medication as it’s clotting most of it up (small clots) apart from this one today was concerned me😞 do you think I should call mau?

Have you been checked to see if you are anemic? It’s not uncommon after birth. Anemia can make you bled more.
Yes asked to be checked- it will give you some reassurance.

My iron levels were low during pregnancy, but was told I didn’t need them after I gave birth even though they didn’t test my iron afterwards.

Yeah I would want that checked out I think. Sudden heavy bleeding can be caused by retained products as I say. Happened to me, not a ‘flood’ but ongoing bleeding problems including clots. No harm can come from being checked out really. Hope you’re ok

I did today it looks just like this idk if there’s correlation but I am on the pill and I get my period about very 4 months

I was on periods and this clot came out.
I would like to know is it period clot or miscarriage
