Post menopausal bleeding but have been told to wait it out

I had a procedure under GA on Feb 19th. They had to do it under GA as they could not gain access to my uterus due to all the cervical scaring from 30 years worth of procedures. I have had Cin 3 before. Every year I have a "bad" smear so I need cells being taken away. One week prior to the GA procedure, they removed my Mirena coil as they could not get access to my Uterus.

Under GA, they put back in a Mirena coil. I have had a Mirena coil for the past 30 years and it was brilliant, no periods.

This time, I have bled every day. I am so tired and so fed up. They have asked me to wait until 6 months are up to see if my body settles down. I am 59.

Do you think the bleeding will stop? The reason I went in for checks was because I was bleeding post menopausal.

They believe there is nothing wrong with my ovaries as they could not see them so they must really be shrunken. Thing is, I have put on 2 stone since December 28th and cannot shift it despite eating one meal a day.

I am just so fed up. Is there something that I ought to be pointing them towards:

You should ask to speak to either your consultant or gp as things are so obviously unclear to you. When you say they can't see your ovaries do you mean on an ultrasound or CT scan or did they physically look for them during your procedure ?
To my limited knowledge it may be possible that you have an ovarian cyst which might be why the ovaries aren't where they would usually be. It would explain the weight gain you have recently experienced. The bleeding needs to be reinvestigated. Why are you still using a coil if you were already post menopausal? I don't know anything about coils so pardon my ignorance . I hope you get the info you need

What was the procedure you had under GA, was it a hysteroscopy? Is the lining of your uterus okay? Have they done a pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound - ovaries can "hide" but I would have thought they'd normally get a picture with one of these scans.
