Blood clots - period

Hello.

I've got terrible periods that are very heavy and I need to Double up for about 3-4 days.

The blood clot situation is getting out of hand. I have photos to share with a doctor but has anyone had similar?

They are massive, maybe the size of my palm. I get severe pain before they pass. I have to focus on breathing for a good 10 mins and then they pass. I get anywhere between 1-4 of these during each period. They are like big blobs of tissue, not like a blood clot to be honest.

It’s just awful and it doesn’t seem normal. I’ve had a lot of tests and have been told adenomyosis and to go on the pill (no thanks) and I’ve also been told my testosterone is very low. Doctor doesn’t want to do anything other than the pill.

Anyone else suffer with this? It’s like giving birth each month?

I have no advice except to keep asking for checks - ultrasounds etc.

what makes me angry is that if men were going through this there would be special Monthly Hospitals and Monthly Respite Centres set up for them!!

Doctor doesn’t want to do anything other than the pill.

I'd want a gynae referral.
