Cramps throughout my whole cycle

Hello,
I was just looking to see if anyone has had a similar experience and what came out of it.

Backstory: I have always had painful periods, the first day would always be absolute agony could barely walk, had to take codiene and would just sleep the whole day. The rest of my period was then just “normal” period pain/cramps. I then had a baby, they found cysts on my ovaries during a scan but said they may not bother you and I don’t think they do. My periods took ages to return but are much better than before- nowhere near as painful.

This cycle after I finished my period, 2 days later I start getting what feels like painful menstrual cramps again like I’m going to com bank on again, this lasts for the next week and a half ish but then finally had a few days with no cramps. Then yesterday I started to notice cramping again and today I’ve had god awful pains (looked on my period app and it says I’m due to be ovulating). It just doesn’t feel right and definitely not normal for me.

I spoke to the doctor after about day 5 of post period cramps but they were not very helpful. Offered a few suggestions of what it could be but then gave reasons why it’s not those and just said take painkillers.

Im just so done with having cramps and pain pretty much all cycle long, I’m dreading my next period as if this is what it’s like so far. I’m going to push the doctor again but has to be an econsult so thought I’d see if anyone has had similar and what it was in the meantime.

Sorry it’s a long one and thanks in advance! X

Has anyone suggested endometriosis? Id ask to be referred to a gynae, it really isnt ok or normal to be in so much pain and it needs to be properly investigated. If the dr wont refer you then see another gp, really push for yourself here. Unfortunately it's necessary

what the previous respondent wrote. Endometriosis is a possibility here.

You will need to be persistent in order to get answers.

Thank you both for responding, I will definitely push to see the doctor again. My doctor is normally really really good so it’s abit annoying that this how he’s responded to this.

Hey just wondering if you've had anymore updates?

I have started experiencing similar though this is new to me.

Also been getting spotting before my period too.
