why am i ovulating on birth control?

Hiya ladies,

I've been on the implant (nexplanon) the past year and a few months I took a ovulation test out of pure boredom and 2 lines popped up. I've took a few since and also 2 lines. why am i ovulating? am i supposed to? so confused

Is it progesterone only? I know on the mini pill you can still ovulate but the pill does other things like changing cervical mucus to stop pregnancy happening (and I assume other things that I can’t currently remember)

You often get two lines on a ovulation test. They have to be the same colour intensity, is this the case?
