ovulating on birth control?

Hiya ladies, I've been on nexplanon (the implant) a year now, a few months ago i was bored and took a ovulation test weird i know and there was 2 lines and have continued to take them once in a while the past 2 months and 2 lines are still strongly showing up. is this normal? am i suppose to ovulate? I've heard i’m not supposed to but idk just wondering girlies. thanks

Hiya! I've not been on that but have been on progestogen only pills and I think that you can still ovulate but the hormones make it a inhospitable environment (thickens the mucus etc) so no sperm can get through to the egg and even it does it can't implant.
