hi!
So ive had the mirena IDU fitted for nearly 7 weeks.
Spotted on and off but nothing major. I have had bad belly cramps qnd awful back ache.

Also very achey hands and legs? Like when i was pregnant. Also ive been getting visual migraines.
And my skin has been itching. I am sweating alot more and cant stand being near the sun (normally i LOVE the sun.
I am going away next month and not sure whether to have it out before i go or not. Anyone had anything similar?
Thankyou :)

Spotting and bleeding daily for nearly a year, migraines, weight gain, sweat dripping off me. Awful.

The nurse kept telling me I needed to give it chance to settle down, it never did. I saw her at 3 months, 6 months and she agreed removal around 8 months. I had to wait 3 months for an appointment in to remove it so I’d make a decision asap & book an appointment if I were you!

I bled for over a year with it in. I only tolerated it (and barely) for that long because lockdowns made getting an appointment for anything not Covid related was virtually impossible. Eventually I was haemorrhaging regularly though, so put my foot down and then they agreed to remove it. Before that they just kept telling me to give it more time.

I had given it 13 months, so more than a fair crack of the whip. No more. Bugger that! It suits some people but not others and definitely didn't suit me.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Check your strings are still there or it will be a long wait to get it out.
Perhaps try an antihistamine to see if that helps in the mean time.
