I'm pretty sure I had a couple of extra ones. I think she checked the images and wanted to be 100% certain she'd got everything needed for when they're reviewed by the screener. Everything was fine, I got the all clear very quickly.

Thank you it was just the nipple on the right trying not to worry x

I've been asked to repeat one side, she said it was because I moved ever so slightly and the picture wasn't as clear as they liked.

On the same day or called back ? Thank I feel much better bx

I had to have a full set done again. It was because the talcum powder I'd used on my body had shown up in the xrays.

iknowthismuchis · 13/04/2022 18:25

I didn't need mine re doing but I think it's normal to do so. She checked the images before letting me leave to see if more needed doing

trace2 · 13/04/2022 18:26

Oh yes it says not to use talc befor it 😮

On the same day. I was just starting to get dressed and she asked me if she could re-do one side.
GumbalinaToothington · 13/04/2022 18:39

And told me to hold my breath this time!

LetitiaLeghorn · 13/04/2022 18:41

I've had to have extra done at a different angle. It's just so they get everything in so they can be checked properly and people don't have to be recalled.

goingslightlyinsane · 13/04/2022 18:44

I had this- it was because it was a bit blurry and they had to repeat it on one side. I recall they said we need to do another one. I was alarmed by this and it's only when I pushed her and repeatedly asked why she said it was because it wasn't a clear image... I wish she just said that to start. Anyhow- it was all fine and I'm sure yours will be too.

trace2 · 13/04/2022 18:49

Thank you was weird how it was just my right nipple , but am not worried now she was just making sure , I wish I had pushed her like you though ? Agree why couldn’t she just say that to you? X

Perime · 13/04/2022 18:55

I have always been asked to wait until they check then it's been retaken if I've moved or it's not the right angle. All fine in the end

QueenFool · 13/04/2022 18:55

From experience, I'm 95% sure she would have seen that your nipple was overlaying your breast tissue and decided to do a view with your nipple out the way of your breast tissue.

It's done just to improve image quality and not that she's seen a cancer.

I had this last week - called back twice, seven scans in total. It was all fine.
