Last summer I changed from the combined pill to the mini pill as I was feeling really low and depressed and wondered if the combined pill was contributing to this. I didn't have any bleeds on the mini pill, but read that this could happen so didn't think much about it. I only ended up staying on the mini pill for a couple of months as I was going through a chaotic time and forgot to take it a couple of days, then thought I'd just stay off it to see if my periods came back.
I've probably been off it for about 6 months now and in that time I've had about 3 episodes of very light spotting, nothing like a period at all. The last one lasted less than 24 hours and it was only a little bit of blood on wiping, hardly anything.
What on earth is going on? I'm only 41 and I can't imagine I'm going the the menopause? And no, I'm not pregnant.
