Does this sound like ovarian cysts?

Went to the GP on Tuesday morning with pelvic pain. It's not continuous pain, comes and goes, intermittent and sharp. Wee test showed slight infection and prescribed antibiotics which I have now finished.
I still have the same pain low down on my right hand side - called 111 today and I've been seen and the doctor couldn't say what's wrong.
I'm getting married in two weeks and I don't want to be unwell and in pain!
Could it be ovarian cysts?

Have they checked for appendicitis?

loopsaloo · 10/04/2022 22:06

Yes, no temperature, no vomiting

I thought appendix could 'grumble' and not show up temps or anything else. Or maybe you still have an infection and it's not cleared up?

I had similar symptoms (although my pain wasn't sharp, it was dull). After several weeks on UTI antibiotic courses and GP visits/blood tests suggesting infection, I had a really bad night (felt systemically ill, shaking, sweating, nausea) so booked a next-day private ultrasound appointment (the NHS appointment was weeks away) and they found an ovarian abscess and sent me straight to A&E. Was put on the right (strong) antibiotics, but I ultimately had the abscess removed via keyhole.

Because of the positive urine sample, the GP had assumed it was a UTI, but the infection must have been from the abscess (likely contaminating my urine sample).
