hi ladies, i’m posting this hoping for some help/advice

i’m 17 and really struggling with my vagina health i’m so frustrated with all of it. i started dating my partner 7 months ago and this is where it all started. i first got a yeast infection that cleared up and then a UTI straight after but the UTI has never gone away. i just want to add that i’m my boyfriends first partner and i’m 100% sure of it and he is also really clean he is a clean freak. i've been prescribed multiple antibiotics, multiple urine tests, a blood test (all clear) as well as kidney and a urinary tract scan also all clear. i’m kind of used to the uti now and it's apart of my daily life i just drink 3L of water a day and i’m fine but if i have a day where i'm lacking in water i really badly suffer. recently during and after sex i've been burning down there really bad and i mean i’m on fire. during the first 15 mins of sex i feel fine but then near the end and after i'm in so much pain. i struggle to pee after. so the doctor gave me cream for a yeast infection (never worked) so then got me to give a urine sample that showed an infection. which is weird since recently i haven't been displaying UTI symptoms ( don't know if it's been bc i have been drinking so much water i haven't noticed the sore pee ) the infection that showed clearly isn't a yeast infection saying this can't be shown in urine sample? or can it? - the doctor didn't state what infection i have. anyway i've been prescribed amoxicillin and am now taking them i’m just so frustrated with all of this, it's been affecting my sex life big time i’m just so terrified of the burning afterwards. i also want to say around a year ago i got chlamydia from a previous partner and got antibiotics for it i never got to finish the course due to them making me so sick so i left it and continued with my life thinking the infection was gone (stupid i know) so when i first started having problems with my current partner i thought shit i must still have it but i got a test and it was negative. but after this happening for so long i’m worried do i maybe still have something? why am i having so many problems? or would my doctor know this as i've gave in so many urine samples now.

sorry this is so long i’m just wondering has any of you guys experienced constant UTI symptoms & yeast infections as well as severe burning down there. just feel a bit :( when all my friends are sexually active and none of them can relate.

thank you girlies!

I'd go back and ask for swabs to be done (check for thrush and bacterial infections) as urine test won't show those. Odd that they gave you amoxicillin for a UTI as it's usually different antibiotics for those, but perhaps that one is what your urine sample infection showed it was sensitive to.

Are you washing down there with soap? If so, stop. It can be tempting to wash a lot, but your vagina won't appreciate it - water only on the inside and vulva area.
Probiotics may help.
How is your health in general? Your immune system may benefit from better health (exercise, sunshine, good diet, supplements) if you get a lot of infections.
Are you on hormonal contraception? This can also mess up the balance down there.

Did he also get treated for yeast infection in the beginning?
Does your BF wear a condom? If not ask him to try and see if you get the same burning symptoms.
I’m asking because I had a very similar issue with DP (now DH) & weirdly it never happened when he wore a condom.

Do you shower immediately after sex? This may also help. No urine isn’t tested for yeast infection.

I know how miserable the burning can be, does applying plenty of lubricant help? You say you feel it after 15 mins, do you stop and reapply lubricant then?

Maybe an appointment at a sexual health clinic would be worth a try?

You need to persist with GP, or you might get better help via your local sexual health clinic- the staff there will be very experienced in dealing with this type of thing.

In the meantime, I post on every thread like this to recommend multigyn actigel. You can buy it in most chemists but I buy in bulk from amazon.

It basically keeps vaginal PH at a level that prevents thrush and bacteria from growing. I use a medicine syringe to insert it and normally use 2,5ml or half a syringe. I use itvas soon as I notice any symptoms- dryness, soreness, itching etc And I also use it after sex, baths or swimming.

Just on my own experiences, do you use scented products, toilet tissue or sanitary products?

Do you consume a lot of sugar in your diet?

IME both of these contributed heavily towards constant infections and discomfort
