Question for anyone who has used norethisterone to delay period

Hi, I’ve just been prescribed norethisterone to delay a period while on holiday. My holiday is in May, so I was going to take it to delay May’s period, but just wondering if I could take it this month to delay April’s period, would it then push May’s period back, by changing my whole cycle? Or would May’s period come on the date it was originally due?

I’m thinking I can get the heavy period and extra PMT (side effects) out of the way this month and not while on holiday. Thanks!

I might not be the best to answer this as my periods can be quite erratic but i took it last month to delay due to an event, and this month my cycle was 28 days which is actually the longest i've had naturally in about 3 years! Disclaimer: I had covid in the middle so that may have impacted it.
