I had some abnormal
Bleeding outside of my period only once. I saw the GP as it worried me. The GP examined me and said I had a sore on my cervix and it definitely didn't look like cancer. She repeated this about 3 times. She said however she would refer me to gynaecology. She said I could be waiting months for an appointment. I had some relief in thinking that she must not be too worried. Today I received a phone call from the hospital saying I had missed my appointment which was on the 4th April. I had received no letter for this. When I asked what the appointment was for she said gynaecology. I have rescheduled my appointment but am now worried that my appointment was within the two weeks since my original GP appointment. Does the GP have to tell you if they're referring you under the two week wait? (Of course I am thankful to being seen so quickly)
