Wiped out and feeling off before period

The last few months I’ve noticed a shift in my mood and general well-being in the week or so leading up to my period. Since having my son 2 years ago I no longer get tender breasts beforehand, and I didn’t really have any noticeable symptoms until the last few months.

This week has been the worst yet. Period due tomorrow and for the last week I have had severe anxiety, fatigue, slightly blurred vision (occasionally, not constant), teary, and impending doom.

I am seeing the GP next week and am fully prepared to be told it’s just “one of those things” but I feel like my hormones are out of whack, or is this PMDD?

I feel completely out of sorts. The last couple of months when my period arrives, I literally feel like a black cloud has passed from above and I have much more energy.

Anyone else?

I suppose it feels a bit like a hangover or the start of a flu! Split seconds of nausea as well. These have been the same for the last few cycles.

How old are you? Could be peri menopause. Look up Dr. Louise Newson's website, app, podcast...
Also loads of meno forums on FB.

Hi op I know it's been a while but really hoping for an update been feeling the same since having dc and it's only getting worse. The pre period symptoms range from pregnancy symptoms to anxiety to feeling like I'm coming down with an illness

@Whatsthestitch Hello! It stopped happening after I posted this. My anxiety still ramps up beforehand but not the other symptoms!
