I'm currently into my second year of the contraceptive implant. This is my third implant and normally I would have no periods/bleeding until about 2 and a half years when i would have irregular periods and both times I've had it replaced around this time time. This time I've started having periods almost every 28 days like my cycle without contraception. I have put on some weight and am concerned that the effectiveness may be affected. I've heard varying opinions in the past about periods meaning hormone levels have dropped etc. Any advice appreciated, especially from any medical professionals. Thanks
