Advice about breast cancer treatment

I've very recently been diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma and have an appointment to see the consultant on Tuesday about my treatment plan. Am up and down like a yo-yo at the moment and can't decide whether to try a lumpectomy and radiotherapy or just be done with it and have a mastectomy.

The tumour is quite large and because it's situated at the top of my breast I get the impression that a lumpectomy might be quite tricky and I might end up with quite an odd little boob! I'm worried that if I have one but they don't get all the cancer out it'll mean I'll need further surgery. So, despite my initial reservations, I'm beginning to think I might be better off having a mastectomy in the first place so I'll have a greater chance of clearing the cancer and won't have to have successive operations.

If I do this I don't think I want to have reconstruction at the same time and would rather wait until I'm sure if I want to go ahead with it.

To complicate things DP and I are due to get married in July. We still want to if we possibly can and if I'm well enough, but I'm trying not to let this cloud my decision making.

Has anyone got any advice from their experience? I'd be very grateful.
