Hi sorry if TMI, I know no one can diagnose me but I’m a little worried. So for a few months now I’ve been struggling with itching and extreme soreness down below especially when emptying my bladder. I’ve been checked for an uti, thrush, BV, chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis, Trichomoniasis, HIV and all have came back negative! Is there anything else to check for? Not that I want there to be anything wrong, just with my symptoms it’s really getting me down! Thanks

Ask your GP for a referral to vulval dermatology to investigate for lichen sclerosis.
I suffered for years before my diagnosis and I think most GPS are clueless about vulval itching.
My dermatologist diagnosed me in minutes and I now have steroid cream and special moisturizer to keep the itching at bay.

Did you get this sorted?

K1995 · 26/07/2022 21:52

Hiya thanks for asking, I was just going round in circles and weren’t getting any answers with my GP. But I’m in the process of changing doctors to one that is closer so I’m going to start fresh and get another opinion. To be honest I haven’t had a flare up for a long time but it’s becoming present again. Im going through a really stressful/hard time atm and when I’m like this I turn to binge eating. I’ve found that when this started I got the symptoms again. Can diet and the other symptoms connect I wonder?

Sugar can affect your lady bits. So can being run down. Are you drinking enough water? And finally, are you peri-menopausal? Could you be dry?

MistyRock · 26/07/2022 22:03

Sugary foods? Candida.

Hello
ask them to check for mycoplasma/ureaplasma. It’s expansive test so STI clinic always avoid it. Also put olive oil in valva over night and sleep. This will calm down the area. Stop stressing because valva get irritated by stress
