What’s this on scalp? Flat brown marks?

Hello, my partner has had these for years since when I’ve met him. There like flat light brown to dark brown marks on his scalp. Moles and freckles are normally raised? He is under a dermatologist due to him having moles on his back as I’m worried about melanoma. Has anyone else got these on there scalp?

Look like benign moles, they aren't always raised.

These are a type of mole too and no, moles are not always raised.

He is wise to see a dermatologist regularly to keep an eye on his moles.

I have flat moles like these on my body as well as raised ones

He's probably best to get them checked out by his dermatologist to be on the safe side
