Irregular bleeding?

I'm 37 and this past year, I've noticed a change to my AF. Around two weeks after previous AF, I start to bleed lightly. This can go on for a week and then I will suddenly flood for three or four days and tail off. Sometimes the light bleeding stops and I have a day or two without, then flood.

I wondered if maybe this change means I am becoming perimenopausel? I've been on iron tablets for nearly three months as a routine blood test showed I was very low in iron.

I will book an appointment with the doctor but don't want to use up a slot if it's just a getting older thing.

I’m 37 - Since having 2nd baby 3 years ago I’ve had one day red then two days extremely light - this month pink discharge for two weeks followed by a solid week of red blood.
I’ve googled it () and it says this is normal and periods change and can be a sign of peri but might not be.

I’d be interested in others experiences.

I'm 43 and have something similar, although I have a 1 year old and am breastfeeding. I'm inclined to think it's perimenopause. The doc said it could be either of those things. She did examine my cervix though and take a swab. I think you should go though.
