Is this change normal?

Before I had DD 2 years ago I'd been on the pill for 10 years, it took almost a year for my body to regulate itself and my periods were all over the place, some months non existent then some would last for weeks at a time. I eventually fell pregnant with DD and since I had her they've been like clockwork although very heavy.
The past maybe 3 months they've been a bit odd, very light for the first couple of days then I get a couple of days with really big clots and it literally feels like my insides are falling out, everything down there is so heavy and achy. (Sorry for the tmi)
I'm just wondering really if this is normal or should I be speaking to the gp? I know things can change as you get older, I've just entered my 30's and I've lost around 2 stone recently if that matters.

I would go to the GP and also ask for a referral to a gynaecologist. Such problems are outside a GPs general remit and this warrants further investigation.

I think its normal. Since having children I have experience the heavy ache sensation and describe it as feeling like my inside are dropping out, friends have said similar. It something I never experienced until I had children. It comes and goes

I don't think they are supposed to stay the same all your fertile years.

I've never had a pattern that persisted for long. That kind of predictability is alien to me.
