Hello

I experience very bad moods and seem to more frustrated around my period,
this affects people around me mostly my husband an I have to really stop myself from getting frustrated at my kids...I am described as being "sharp" esp around my period.

It can even effect my relationship with husband having argument alway around my T.O.M.

This has been they way I have been for years with my moods getting out of control, getting annoyed very easily.

Is there anything that I can do to help my moods around my period?

Is there anyone that could give me a answer to why I feel this way before and during my period?

Is there any experts that I could see to check my hormones?

As I don't want to be like this around my period and want to fix this.

Thanks in advance

Worth seeing your GP to discuss and see if they can do some tests. I started to get much more angry and down before my period - in my case I suspect it’s peri menopause as I’m in my 40s now. I haven’t started HRT but I have been taking evening primrose oil and star flower oil (a mixed capsule from Boots). This has made a massive difference to my mood and I feel so much calmer and in control. You could try this and see if it helps?
