I'm 35 and have always had fairly regular periods (usually 26-28 days). In December I had some spotting mid cycle. It only last a day so I put it down to having the covid booster, which I know can affect menstrual cycles. My period was late that month (31 days) but again I put that down to the booster.
January was a normal cycle and my period arrived in February a little early. My period ended on the 14th Feb. I then had some cramping and spotting on the 17th and 18th. Only when I wiped. Nothing on the 19th and 20th. Spotting again on the 21st. Nothing on the 22nd. And today, 23rd, I've had heavier bleeding, much like it would be at the beginning of a period.
I have no idea what's going on and if I should be concerned. I had irregular bleeding a couple of years ago but that was put down to the copper coil and that came out of it's own accord a month or so later and I've had no problems since.
Could this be caused by the booster I had two months ago? Could it be perimenopaus? Or could this just be a variation of normal? My GP only does online consultations at the moment and the form closes at 11am which was before the heavier bleeding started. I'll complete the form tomorrow but in the meantime I just wondered if anyone can offer any advice or insight in to what might be going on?
