Advice please!!!

Hi there, for the past year roughly I've had bleeding after sex I went to the doctors around 6 months ago about it and they thought it might be erosion or something like that but they referred me to a gynaecologist anyways but still waiting to hear about that, but more recently I'd say the last three four month it has turned to just bleeding after orgasm even without penetration and I'm just concerned as it's bright red blood lasts a few days and can sometimes after if I go to the toilet it give me cramps and it's starting to really affect me.

I think you need to go back to the GP. Unexplained bleeding should always be investigated more quickly than that

@QueenOfHiraeth I just don't feel listened to as I'm only 18 and the first time I went she pretty much just laughed at me for even being concerned at this age, but I don't think it is normal and it doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon.

If there is another GP ask to see someone different. Either way, your symptoms have worsened so I would still go back

I think it’s really important you are seen again and I would ask to see a different GP or visit a sexual health clinic (not because it’s an STD, just because you can see a doctor there too and I think they will take you seriously.)

It’s really hard when people patronise you because you are young but you have to advocate for yourself, your health is so important. Don’t let them fob you off
