How long for smear results?

I had my smear test over 2 weeks ago and still haven't had the results back.

How long do they usually take?

At busy times our nurses say up to 6 weeks!
It can take from 2 to 6 weeks. If you have been waiting longer than you expected, call your GP surgery to find out if they have any updates about when you might hear. If there is a delay try not to worry. It doesn't mean that there is anything wrong, most people will have a normal result

Mine came back after 8 days last monthbut I have heard they can take a few weeks.

Last time I had one it was a case of you won't hear anything unless there's a problem. Have you called your GP?
