Your endo stories?

Hi
I am wondering if this sounds like typical endometriosis symptoms?
I had my appendix out via keyhole surgery a few weeks ago and was told they noticed fluid and inflammation around my uterus and Fallopian tubes.

For years I have suffered with debilitating fatigue, ovulation pain, ‘javelin arse’ - this pain is so bad it takes my breath away but only last a few seconds at a time and only happens before or during my period, and intense lower back pain when on my period.

They didn’t diagnose the fluid and inflammation as endometriosis and it was only a quick look but I wondered what your stories were with your diagnosis and if any symptoms of yours are similar to mine? My periods aren’t overly heavy and I know the heavy bleeding is a common endo symptom so I don’t know what I’m experiencing is normal or not really.

Any help would be appreciated.

See a gynaecologist.

Did you appendix need to be removed because it was diseased or did they take it out just because of the symptoms you describe?.

Endometriosis cannot be ruled out here; it sounds awfully like this and "mild" disease can cause a lot of pain. You need a gynae referral and from that a laparoscopy.

Do consider keeping a daily pain and symptom diary particularly if you do not already do this. This can give the gynae clues.
