I started taking Rigevidon last week and I keep feeling really angry, like a short fuse. Could it be the pill so quickly and has anybody else had this?

I'm on sertraline too so could it be reacting with that?

I was on this pill for a number of years with no issues. Then all of a sudden I started waking up in the morning with huge anxiety for no reason at all! Never had anxiety before and it would happen even on fun amazing days!
I made the decision to swap to a different pill and it all stopped. I guess some of them just don't agree with everyone

Thanks for replying @SugarBlossomFairy what pill did you switch to if you don't mind me asking?

I am hoping things settle but I keep getting cramps when I'm nowhere near the week that I don't take them.

So just over two weeks in and I've got brown blood. I'm assuming this is normal? 😬

I think this is the pill I'm on. I moved to it because the mini pill gave me terrible spots. Started on it properly about six weeks ago.

I am grumpy at the moment but I'd put it down the work stress - hadn't occurred to me it could be the pill. Also have brown blood which is annoying and unpredictable, thought one of the benefits of the pill was at least predictable bleeding 😡

TruffleNoir · 27/02/2022 14:29

@BirdIsland really interesting to hear your experience! If the brown blood happens more than once I won't be happy as you say I was hoping it would keep my bleeding predictable x

I swapped it to desogestrel which is a progesterone only one rather than combined.

No issues at all and agrees with me a lot more I believe - plus no periods which is a win!

Rigevidon made me a bit sad. It was hard to put my finger on it, and I wouldn't go as far as depression in any way, but it just took my joie de vivre down a notch you know?
If it doesn't suit you definitely try another one!

My daughter became really depressed on this pill. I can only describe it as her lights went out.

She came off it, had some CBT and is much better

HermioneWeasley · 05/03/2022 18:20

I had a terrible time on it - it’s rat poison as far as I’m concerned. I gained half a stone (presumably water retention) in about 10 days and started crying at everything. No problems since I switched to millinette

WingingItEveryDay7 · 05/03/2022 18:23

My sister was put on this a month ago and became really depressed. She has other things going on too so it was only when we looked into it that we realised it was this pill.... It was too coincidental! As soon as she stopped taking it a weight lifted from her. 1 in 10 woman can develop depression and mood swings by taking this pill, I'm surprised it's still being prescribed tbh!!
