I had unprotected sex approx day 10/11 of cycle. Had MAP two days later. Now approx cycle day 14 the day after taking it and have lots of cramping. Obviously no idea if this is ovulation cramping or side effect from MAP, I figure it's too early for implantation. I do usually get ovulation cramps.

I know it doesn't work if you've already ovulated and that is a high probability. I'm also 12 stone and apparently it is less effective if you are over 11 stone, so the odds are not in my favour for it working but I figured it was better to try than not at all.

It's going to be a long over analysing wait. Anyone else taken it recently and waiting to see if it has worked?

I didn’t do it recently but I took it about 8 years ago on day 3 after unprotected sex early in my cycle. She is now 8! I’d forgotten I took the MAP until I saw your post.

Day 2 is quick enough. I hope you get the outcome you’re after.

I took it in good faith and forgot all about it. Period was late and I STILL didn’t contemplate I could be pregnant. I then took a test to prove my period was on the way and I wasn’t pregnant, only to read 3+ weeks pregnant.

Thanks @KimDeals I've taken it a few times before (about once a decade since being 16, I'm not regularly reckless 😂) but this is the first time there was a warning that it is pointless if you've already ovulated. I definitely wasn't told this the last time I took it! So I guess that is what happened with you! The guidelines have now changed everywhere. So unfortunately the effectiveness is less important how soon you take it over when in your cycle you take it.

I didn’t know that! (And I know you’re not reckless Grin) anyway, hope it goes your way. I’d say “don’t worry” but I’d be the same as you just waiting waiting waiting… the odds are you’ll be fine though!!!
