Good morning all. I've just had my appointment through for colposcopy and LLETZ for cervical ectropion. Can anyone share their experience and advice with this please? Thank you

No advice. But hand hold. Exactly same position as you.

Thank you. Hand hold for you too! I hope it's not affecting you too much Thanks

I think it had maybe affected me more than I thought. But I had my appointment this morning. After a slight panic attack I got through the procedure with gas and air.
Only took about 30 mins in total. And didn’t have any more discomfort than what I felt with a smear test.

That's great! I'm so glad it wasn't too bad for you. I had mine this morning too, turns out I actually have a polyp and not cervical ectropion so didn't have the LLETZ but have to go for surgery to remove it, which is fine by me as the less I know about it the better. Hope you recover quickly.

Aww thank you.
And fingers crossed your surgery goes well 💐

Had it done 20 years ago. I agree no more painful than a smear.

@Bran21 thank you! Turns out I don't need to have the LLETZ. The colposcopy was absolutely fine, felt nothing! Do have to have surgery now though but not too worried about that.
