Anaemia in late pregnancy, should I push for more intervention?

At 29 weeks my ferratin was 6 (super low) and Hb 107 (low but just within normal range). GP gave me ferrus fumarate 410mg daily. At 34 weeks I had bloods redone and Hb still 107, ferratin not included.

Initially I felt better on the supplements but now at 36 weeks I've dipped again majorly.

I went to the pregnancy assessment clinic today and they retook bloods but refused to include ferratin as it'll still be low and said they wouldn't consider an infusion unless my Hb has dropped under 80.

The midwife was really dismissive of how crap I'm feeling. Her advice was to HALVE my supplementation and said 'we don't do many iron infusions here'.

I have ZERO confidence in her clinical judgement. Even if my Hb is still within normal range should I be pressing for more intervention? Especially as I'll be giving birth in the next few weeks with obvious associated blood loss. It seems a no brainier to me but I'd appreciate some other, perhaps more informed and objective, views.
