Should I move my op

I'm having an endometrial ablation done after suffering for years with heavy and painful periods.

I'm going private so will have some more flexibility that NHS.

I got the date of my operation through today and it's the day before my husband's birthday! This means I'll be out of action and feeling shit on the day itself.

Should I try to move it? If I did a week later I'd be on my period and not sure how I feel about doing it during that.

Move it another week and I could be feeling rough / be at the tail end of recovery for my birthday.

Week after that is my birthday.

Do I move it? I need to phone them tomorrow but I assume I can move the date quite easily or do we postpone DH's birthday celebrations?

I'm mostly worried about the general. Last time I had one I was very tired the next day and kept falling asleep.
