My previous smear test came back fine in 2019.
But most recent smear test last month has come back with HPV and abnormal cells. Colposcopy booked for end of the month.
I’m really worried. I’ve had spotting between periods/after sex and a general feeling that something was off in that area - aching and a bit bloated - on and off for well over a year. Had ultrasounds to rule out cysts or fibroids, STI tests ruled out anything like that etc. All fine. Now this.
I’m really worried. I’ve read all the stuff online saying in most cases these results end up being pre-cancerous cells and can be easily treated. But with the symptoms as well, I feel like I’m going to get bad news.
Not sure what I’m looking for, really. I suppose any shared experiences that might help me feel a bit less freaked out would be good…
