Hi all I need advice please!! I'm getting desperate now. This has been an ongoing issue for 3 years and I'm still no further forward. Around 3 years ago I ramdomly started to suffer soreness and itchiness down stairs a few days before my period was due and when my period came it's stopped around day 2. It happened every month at the same time. It was so sore I had to sit on ice cubes, couldn't wear underwear even walking would be uncomfortable. I was given swabs and bloods and everything seemed normal. I was given antibiotics and creams and nothing worked. I had an ultrasound and other than a few ovarian cysts couldn't see anything. They put me on the mini pill in the hope my period would stop but it didn't stop and if anything I get my periods longer now. The soreness has calmed down but Is still there and most of the time still happens before my period but sometimes would happen randomly in the month for a few days. My dp has said the days before I start to get irritated and we have intercourse he feels abit sore the next day but it only lasts a day then goes away. The way it feels now is not deep inside all of the time but kind of feels like I've had a catheter in and around the surrounding area is sore. Im absolutly out of ideas, ive had enough and the doctors doing nothing. I have another ultrasound next month to check on the cyst so im going to mention it again but everytime I do I feel fobbed off. Anyone else had this? I really can't continue it's affecting everything. I don't feel like going out when I feel this way, obviously do not want sex please help me. Thankyou

It'd awful isn't it. I can always tell when it's starting it does actually feel like the beginning of a water infection but doesn't hurt when I wee just the sensation of a water infection. I can't believe how many women are struggling with the same or similar thing. After posting threads about it before with no response I was starting to think it was all in my head or I'm suffering something really rare

Op did you ever get to the bottom of this? I'm currently in same situation and have been for past 4 years, seen so many Dr's and different departments and still no answers!!!

Hi yes I've now finally got it under control though I was never given an explanation or told what it was as GP and gyno didn't actually know. I was told so many different things but in the end my GP had me take the contraceptive pill back to back for 3 months then a 7 day break then back to 3 months. Alongside I was given amotriptalin (completely wrong spelling apologies) my GP said the medication would somehow trick my brain to respond to no pain...how it works o have no idea to be honest I never understood it but it worked. Previously I'd tried so many things and nothing worked but this did so I'd definitely recommend asking your GP about it. It's a horrible thing to suffer with, it drove me insane and made me so depressed because I couldn't do anything, couldn't sleep it was awful. I really hope you find a solution. Big hugs

Mines flared up again recently and it’s really uncomfortable but no creams seems to be working . I am on the pill that you take everyday so I don’t get periods luckily because that causes irritation.
I have a drs appointment on Thursday so going to ask again then . I have been told off one dr it could be eczema I was given a steroid cream and some barrier cream for using in the shower That helped at the time when it’s really bad .

It sounds like deep thrush. Have you tried anything like yeast raiders

Hi all I finally went back to the drs yesterday and she said Lichen sclerosus . Have been prescribed some steroid cream and need to go back in 6 weeks . The dr did a swab because I have a weird white discharge she said it was covered up there and she said would prescribe a tablet if I needed one. But I wouldn’t say it’s a bad flare up at the moment but there must be signs of Lichen sclerosus.
i am hoping that I can get this under control neow it made life difficult.
