Dd and periods

DD started her periods two years ago. Her periods are still really irregular. Her periods are not heavy at all though. She has always felt a bit crap when she’s on, even the first time. But after a couple of times of her feeling really, really rough and needing at least day off school each time I took her to the doctors who suggested she may have pcos. They have put her on the pill for 3 months. This is her first period taking the pill. However I’ve just had to go and pick her up from school today with really bad cramps. Shaky, feeling really sick and hot. She had taken ibuprofen and it reduces the pain from cramps but she still feels awful. I will get another appointment for the gp but in the meantime is there anything else I can give her to take that’s better especially for the nausea (she is never actually sick) as she hates missing time off school.

Have you tried ibuprofen lysine? Sometimes marketed as for migraines. It’s the same as femimax which is much better for period pain!
