Advice on tummy trouble

Hi . I’m 44 and have had IBS for years on and off . Last week had a bad bout of diarrhoea. This has now continued for days . As well as the normal symptoms ( undigested food in stool, tummy pain ) this is much much more urgent - I’m
Nervous to go out. The way I can best describe it is if my tummy is being blown up like a balloon then immediately almost purely liquid comes out for ages
And several times a day .
I also have racing heart and then noise from my tummy is like old pipe work ?!
I’ve emailed GP ( no face to face at my surgery still ) and was told will get a call on Wednesday . This isn’t normal. I’m so worried but just want to know if anyone has ideas as to what it is x thanks x

Honestly it could be a range of things and only proper investigation will give any concrete answers. Have you had a colonoscopy or anything like that? If not, push for one. In my experience GPs will happily fob off any tummy issues as IBS if they can get away with it.

The urgency sounds annoying and very disruptive. I really would push for a referral when you speak to your GP. They will likely want bloods and a stool sample too.

I still haven’t had a call back . I’m run bed now after another horrific bout and really worrying x
