Vulva pain/sore

Around the end of Nov I started having some pain. I mostly noticed it was sore or tender around urethra area when wiping after a wee. No burning or stinging, urine dip stick all fine so not worried about UTI.

I asked DH to have a look after a couple of weeks. He said he ‘thinks there is a tiny pimple’. I thought I’d leave it and see how things went as, at times, it did feel as if it was as sore as a really angry, inflamed zit other times as if a sore bruise.

It has, over the last couple of months, sometimes felt almost better but all weekend it has been really painful. It’s even sore to sit in my jeans as it presses against the area and I couldn’t even contemplate sex it’s so sore.

I finally remembered we have a magnifying mirror so I’ve tried to see what the issue is. I’ve spent most of the morning googling pics to see if what I see is “normal” 🤦🏼‍♀️ But I can’t find anything that helps.

I do have a little extra skin flap below and to the left of my urethra but I’ve always had that because I remember thinking in my early 20’s that it was odd I didn’t have a corresponding one on the other side. That seems to be the area most sore and it does look a little red but having not looked down there for a couple of decades I have no clue how red it usually is!

Anyhow, any clues as to what could be the issue? On one occasion I had a sharp shooting pain up my urethra but that appears to be a random one off.
I tried daktarin initially for a week or so, I have at other times tried sudocream as a barrier cream. I know that I will eventually have to be looked at but appointment issues/work/Anxiety & MH issues mean it isn’t going to be any time in the next couple of weeks.

You know people on here can only offer suggestions of what it MIGHT be. You need to get a dr appointment ASAP not in a few weeks. What will be different in a couple of weeks.

If you struggle with personal aspect of the appointment you could ask someone to go with you, or ask for the dr to be aware of your anxiety. Is there a particular issue with the drs your anxious about? .

Sorry, I know that wasn’t the response you probably wanted. It’s just clear you need to see a dr ASAP.

Did you find out when it was? I’m experiencing similar!

Me too! For the last two weeks. I’ve seen the gp twice and now they’ve given me steroid cream for 2 weeks for eczema maybe or LS (tiny white patch was noted) . I’m not sure though as the cream doesn’t seem to have made a difference yet……but maybe I’m being too impatient. Also wondered if if it could be hormonal as I feel quite pms like but much earlier in my cycle than normal….it’s so difficult when you don’t know what to do next!

@Alwayssomething123 Mine doesn’t irritate at all, but it’s almost like a skin tag but hollow in the middle? Like a well? I’m wondering if it’s left from childbirth!? As you can imagine I’ve not looked down there much! Is yours more an aggravated patch of skin?
