Endometriosis

I started a thread yesterday about ovulation pain. I'm now wondering if I have endometriosis and wondered if anyone could share their experience with me. I am going to try and get through to my GP tomorrow to get checked over or at least talk to them about how I'm feeling.

I'm nearing 45, I stopped taking the pill around 6 months ago and my first few periods were on time and had no issues. Last month my period made me feel Ill with the pain and I was heavy with bleeding. Exactly two weeks later I obviously was ovulating I couldn't sit down properly because of pain underneath, I had what I now know on here is called javelin arse! I felt like I was in labour. The pains lasted around and hour before subsiding.

I'm now feeling very sore in my womb area and a bit off colour.
Does this sound like endo? I often get period pains at random times of the month and backache very low down.

Am no expert but have had these types of symptoms and in my case the cause was indeed endometriosis. This was diagnosed by a gynae during fertility treatment.

The GP needs to refer you to a gynaecologist so do not take no for an answer. In the meantime I would keep a daily pain and symptom diary noting pain on a scale from 1-10.
