Spotting

Hi

I have a doctors appointment in a few days about this but it’s on my mind a lot so need to write it down and get it off my chest and see if anyone else is in a similar boat.

I’ve been dealing with spotting for a few months now. I had a c section last April and during it, I was told I had a fibroid. It was thought at the time it caused issues with me being stitched back up as it took much longer than expected as I kept oozing blood, they said it was very ‘blood vessely’ which was strange. At the time the doctor told me It was during the section so I just asked if it would cause me problems and he said it can cause heavy periods. I forgot about it in my happy newborn bubble.

I got my first pp period in early July, I had my covid vaccine during that period and had a few days of spotting 2 weeks later followed by more spotting in early August (had my 2nd vaccine around this time). It all calmed down but after my 2nd pp period, I spotted again about 2 weeks later.

My smear was due in late August, nurse said all looked fine as I mentioned the spotting to her but as soon as I told her I was 4 months pp she said it was normal and my cervix looked healthy. Smear came back ok.

In October after my 3rd period, I had more spotting so I saw my gp, she found a small vagina tear and mentioned things seemed a little dry. She did a swab that came back with mild thrush which I was treated for.

All was ok but then after my last period in early December and after my booster, I had more spotting for a few days Christmas week and now it’s been happening a little bit every week this month.

I have very long irregular periods, always have done and bloods indicated PCOS years ago.

Has anyone else had any experiences like this? Just want as sorted as seeing blood when going to the bathroom is so disconcerting and causing me some anxiety. I don’t think it’s the vaccine but I feel it’s information I shouldn’t leave out either.
