Must be so worrying to receive, especially in letter form Flowers

I think it's a standardised letter without any further details. I would just try to focus on the changes being precancerous and good to have a plan soon about how to sort.

I know that must be hard though. I hope all goes well.

Is it the bit that says "ungraded CIN - high grade"? There is some more info here www.jostrust.org.uk/information/abnormal-cells/about-cell-change that might help?

AIBU to be slightly annoyed that one type of cell changes are called SMILE?

Talk about misplaced humour.

Sorry, posted too soon... The good news is that it's CIN and not cervical cancer and so treatment is very very likely to resolve it quickly and is pretty straightforward (I won't lie and say it's the best day out ever, but honestly it's not the worst thing ever either).

I hope you can speak to someone soon to get some answers. I noticed Jo's Trust have a helpline, maybe worth giving them a call if you aren't going to be able to speak to the colposcopy team in the next few days. Flowers

I thought that too! Really not sensing the mood there!

I had similar and found out what CIN it was after the LEETZ treatment.

It's not a nice thing to go through but it isn't too bad and most cases just the one treatment is needed. I have never had any issues since.

I only found out after the lletz
