Coil missing

I'm waiting for a scan appt to see if my coil has perforated the uterus. (It's either that or it's fell out - but how could it have done that without me knowing Confused)

Has anyone has this before? The coil stopped my period pain completely and I only had a very light bleed...then out of the blue I had a very heavy and painful period, another one three weeks later and now I'm in severe pain again two weeks later but with no blood yet. I'm worried about how bad/frequent this is going to be before I get into the hospital to get this sorted.

Thanks.

Mine is assumed to have bled out. I had a very heavy period (so bad I was ringing the NHS while sitting on the toilet!). Passed some large clots and when I checked the string the following week I couldn't feel them. Then had gynae appointments and an MRI. My consultant thought he could see it on the MRI but when I had a hysteroscopy it was nowhere to be seen and an x-ray confirmed it hadn't perforated my uterus so it was assumed to have come out with the clots a couple of months previously. Best thing that ever happened to it if i'm honest!!

Thank you for replying Smile

I don't remember any big clots, just lots of blood, but I suppose it could have fell out when I was sat on the loo - it's just so hard to imagine not noticing!

I have loved mine, my periods were so bad before and pretty much disappeared so I am absolutely gutted the pain is back.
