Hysteroscopy didn't find the polyp

Hi all, I'm new here as I just started TTC at the age of 37, and it didn't go very well, first with some abnormal bleeding between periods last Nov (my periods have been like clockwork for as far as I remember). I had transvaginal ultrasound scan at both NHS and a private clinic under my insurance. Both scans suggested possible polyp. So I arranged a hysteroscopy privately to remove the polyp. However, the doctor's report after the procedure said hysteroscopy view was not clear as I was having period, but no obvious polyps were noted. Now I'm a bit confused as to whether there is no polyp to begin with, or there could still be polyp but not found during the hysteroscopy. Did anyone ever have similar experience please? Thanks a lot!

I had a similar experience apart from I didn’t have any bleeding between periods. I am curious as to what happened if anything next? I have been asked to go for an MRI? Do they ask you to do this?

@Bethy13 Hi there, no they never asked me to do MRI, just say if any more abnormal bleeding let them know. My abnormal bleeding was an one-off though. I was also offered to see a gynae with NHS but I cancelled it after the private procedure. The NHS gynae did say that it's quite common to not find any polyp. I never had any more abnormal bleeding after that, and went through a successful IVF later on which didn't find any polyp either.

Thanks it was really kind to message back. I guess they just want to double check what was seen on the scan. Think they are looking for endo issues too. We had an unsuccessful round of ivf so I did wonder if it was linked to that. Unsure if I will carry on my ivf journey but so happy yours worked out well!
