Found a lump...

Found a lump, and I'm so scared it's something sinister. It's high up in my vagina but actually feels like it's something pressing through from the back passage. About the size of a plum and hard. Thought it might be faeces I could feel (sorry for tmi) but just been to the toilet and it's still there.
Had lower back ache for 6 months and also struggling to conceive, maybe all related?
Anyone any thoughts? Will ring GP in the morning but trying to get an appointment is so difficult at the minute.

G spot?

Lucy304 · 09/01/2022 22:14

No, can't be, too big and in the wrong place.

This is going to sound a bit odd, but how long have you felt it there? Just today? Did you see if it feels different after you've passed a stool. You can feel stools from the other side, especially if you have weaker vaginal muscles after childbirth

Obvs call your dr though, really important to get checked out

Lucy304 · 09/01/2022 22:39

@YukoandHiro I've felt it for a while but thought it was a stool like you say. But tonight I emptied my bowels and it was still there, which has freaked me out.

It won't be cancer if that's your worry.

It's not your cervix is it that you are feeling?

Have you given birth? If so it could be a prolapse of your bowel wall poking through.

The vagina is full of lumps and bumps. Maybe it's been there all the time and you have never noticed it?

There is a lot of info on the Eve Appeal site on female gynae stuff and also Jo's Trust. Worth a read?

Lucy304 · 10/01/2022 08:49

@JinglingHellsBells yes you're right, it could've always been there. I don't routinely furtle around up there so I don't know what's 'normal.' It's only since ttc that my eyes have been opened to lots of things, including checking cervical mucus, and that's what I was doing when I found it. I think it's the fact that I've also got this backache, and we're having trouble conceiving which we didn't before, so I've got into a state and convinced myself something terrible is going on.
Been ringing GP since 8, just get cut off. They closed the phone lines before Christmas and it's looking like they may have again. Just desperate to speak to someone to hopefully settle my mind.

Try one of the female cancer charities I mentioned. A GP can't do anything without looking at you.

I will, thank you
