Breast pain - should I worry?

Pain in right breast. An aching sort of pain, some areas very painful at times and then not.

It feels warm to me at times.
I’m 53, still menstruating but having various menopause type symptoms.

I think normally I would have asked for a GP appt. but I’m mindful of the Covid / NHS difficulties.

Should I contact GP (this has been going on for about 4 days).

If you would normally have made a GP appointment I'd also do so now.

There's lots of innocuous reasons for breast pain (including perimenopause), but it sounds like getting a medical opinion would be useful for peace of mind.

It may also be worth making a written note of your symptoms and your menstrual cycle, in case you can see a link between the two.

Good luck to you Flowers

Worth getting checked out. I have pain in one breast and the breast clinic checked me out. Nothing further done, just said I had to live with it. Still, peace of mind for it not being anything sinister. Evening primrose oil has helped me a bit (about a third of women who take it notice a benefit apparently)

Thanks both. I’m going to phone now and see if I can get an appointment.

My consultant also recommended Evening Primrose oil for breast aches etc. I was surprised. It is best to get breast changes checked though.
