I'm currently been tested for this , what was your symptoms ? I had a stomach bug not long ago and still having a lot of gass from both ends and loud gurgling stomach . No bloating though

Yes. My symptoms were horrendous heartburn. I had the blood test for H.pylori, then 'triple therapy' of 2 antibiotics and a protein pump inhibitor (all tablets). I think it worked as I have no more heartburn thank God!

Did you have any sort of gas & stomach gurgling ? I'm just trying to work out what it could be , kinda hope it is that so I can get treated ! Apparently it's really common infection

Some gurgling, yes, but nothing untoward.
It is really common and easy to treat although you may need 2 separate courses of the medication.

Yes, me too.
As @Phyllis321 describes.
Excruciating heartburn almost constantly, irrespective of what I ate. Always acidy.
Had the same regime of antibiotics and ppis. My antibs didn't work first time so the GP gave me a set of different ones which cleared it.
Up to 60% of the world adult population is thought to have it, mainly asymptomatic. I guess we got lucky with our burps and gripes as it can cause ulcers if not treated.

I mean it could be nothing , I think the doctors are fed up of me ringing up everyday this week so just suggested this , I do have health anxiety so that's why keep ringing them up . I seem to never be happy with what they're telling me lol , I just hope it's nothing serious and can be treated

The anxiety is awful, I know. When I had it I was convinced of all sorts and my GP kept fobbing me off saying it was indigestion. It took from December to April to get her to actually give me something, and then she said it would be my gallbladder. All the time I'm saying "could it be h.pylori, I've looked it up on Dr. Google" Ironically I have gallstones now, but didn't then, but ended up having ultrasound even though it was a quick blood test that diagnosed the h.pylori. Hope you get some answers soon Flowers

Non stop vomiting.

Had the triple therapy which helped. Unfortunately it wiped out aaallll the bacteria in my gut, not just the bad ones. This meant I needed to take some probiotics to get some back in. Look at some online groups for advice.

victoriaaaa · 06/01/2022 20:50

@Olliesocks what is probiotics ?

I'm about to be tested for this now. I have Lynch Syndrome which increases my risk of bowel cancer and apparently h. pylori can also increase the risk of stomach cancer in Lynch carriers.

victoriaaaa · 12/01/2022 08:54

So I had my results back and was negative . I'm putting everyday down to my anxiety as Iv been really bad this past month and that's when all my symptoms started .
