Endometriosis, Mirena, Perimenopause

Hi all, I have severe endometriosis which has been kept in check for years by a mirena which has stopped me ovulating. However in the last couple of years I’ve had terrible endometriosis pain two or three times a year. No bleeding as the mirena thins the womb lining. So it seems to indicate I’ve ovulated as the endo tissue that’s elsewhere on the body is reacting like it used to with a period.

I’m 49 so likely in perimenopause. Had anyone else had this? Could it be that my hormones have become erratic and are ‘breaking through’ the mirena hormones?

Thanks so much for anything anyone could enlighten me with!
